  • Registration form: the hotel's guest registration form.
  • Payer: any individual, company or association responsible for settling a resident's hotel bill or a guest's charges for using the hotel facilities. The payer may also be the resident or guest.
  • Proof of identity: a valid passport, valid driving licence, valid national identity card or birth certificate.
  • Hotel fire safety regulations: the fire safety regulations adopted by the hotel and displayed in guest rooms and at the hotel reception.
  • Resident: any individual staying overnight at the hotel.
  • Services: the services provided by the hotel at any given time.
  • Visitor: any individual expressly or implicitly invited to the hotel by a resident or guest.
  • You: any guest, resident or visitor.

3. Arrival and departure times

Rooms are available from 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 noon on the day of departure. If you arrive before the scheduled check-in time, early check-in may be offered subject to room availability. However, to guarantee room availability upon early arrival, we recommend booking the preceding night.

In the event of late arrival, unless otherwise agreed, all reservations guaranteed by a credit or debit card or prepaid at the time of booking will be held until 11:59 p.m. on the scheduled arrival date. Non-guaranteed reservations will be held until 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. After this time, the Hotel reserves the right to release the room for resale unless you have informed us of your late arrival.

We are always delighted when our guests wish to extend their stay. Late check-out may therefore be arranged, subject to availability and an additional charge. For departures before 2:00 p.m., a supplement of €80 applies. For departures up to 6:00 p.m., a charge equivalent to 50% of the room rate applicable on that day will be applied. After 6:00 p.m., an additional night's accommodation will be charged.

Please contact the Hotel reception for further information.

4. Reservations

We understand that travel plans may change. For reservations made under a flexible rate, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled arrival time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before arrival will incur a charge equivalent to one night's accommodation.

For extended stays, please refer to the cancellation conditions applicable to the selected rate. No cancellation fee will be charged if the required 24-hour notice period is respected. Otherwise, one night's accommodation will be charged. Reservations may be cancelled directly with the hotel or online. You will need to provide the booking reference number included in your reservation confirmation email. Unless otherwise agreed in advance, no specific room or suite number will be confirmed before arrival. Even where a particular room or suite number has been allocated, the Hotel reserves the right to change this allocation.

On very rare occasions, due to circumstances beyond our control, we may need to replace your reserved accommodation with similar accommodation. If the replacement accommodation is offered at a lower rate than your original booking, the difference will be refunded. You agree that such a substitution constitutes satisfactory fulfilment of our obligation to provide the accommodation booked. Although uncommon, booking errors may occasionally occur. Should we be unable to accommodate you, we will make every effort to arrange suitable alternative accommodation.

All descriptions, illustrations and room rates displayed on the Website or communicated through other channels are provided for general information purposes only and are intended to give an overall indication of the accommodation offered. Subject to this Clause 4, the details of your room or suite and the applicable price are specified in your booking confirmation. Photographs of the Hotel and its accommodation displayed on the Website are non-contractual. Although we endeavour to represent our rooms and suites as accurately as possible, the accommodation provided may differ slightly from the photographs.

5. Check-in

Upon arrival and check-in, all residents in your party over the age of 18 are required to complete a registration form providing their full name, home address, nationality and details of their next destination, including the address where known. This information is required by law. You will also be asked to provide your online booking reference and proof of identity. We retain this information for at least 12 months and may disclose it or make it available to police officers. The Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation to anyone unable to provide the information requested above. Residents and guests making a same-day reservation are also required to verify their identity by presenting valid proof of identity.

Guests under the age of 18 may check in and stay at the hotel only if accompanied by an adult or if they provide written authorisation from their legal guardian, proof of identity for the minor, and the contact details and proof of identity of the parent or legal guardian.

6. Room changes

On rare occasions, the hotel may need to move you to another room. If you are absent when such a change becomes necessary, the hotel is authorised to transfer your personal belongings from your current room to the new room. You remain responsible for removing your valuables, including any items stored in your private safe.

7. Access to the establishment

The hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to guest rooms or other areas of the property. The safety and security of our guests, the hotel, personal belongings and hotel property, as well as the preservation of the hotel's reputation, are among our priorities.

Where the hotel has reasonable grounds for concern regarding a prospective resident, guest or visitor, access to the property may be refused. The hotel does not tolerate discrimination based on sex, age, gender identity, skin colour, race, nationality, disability, marital status, maternity or pregnancy, religion or belief, sexual orientation, ethnic or national origin. Such characteristics will never be used as grounds for refusing access or for any other discriminatory treatment.

8. Guests and Visitors

Visitors may stay overnight in a resident's room or suite only if the total number of occupants does not exceed the permitted sleeping capacity. The hotel is required to comply with the maximum occupancy limits established by its fire safety regulations. Upon request and subject to an additional charge, an extra bed may be provided in Deluxe Rooms. Please contact the hotel reception or enquire when making your reservation online.

Baby cots are provided free of charge. Please note that you are responsible for the behaviour of your invited guests and visitors throughout their time at the hotel. Out of consideration for other guests, we kindly ask that you refrain from making excessive noise or causing disturbances. We appreciate your cooperation in complying with all hotel rules and regulations, including those relating to its facilities. Any guest, resident or visitor suspected of soliciting or harassing other individuals may be refused access to the hotel.

9. Obligations of Residents/Guests/Visitors

We expect all residents, guests and visitors to conduct themselves, dress and behave in a manner consistent with the standards and atmosphere of the hotel. You agree, on your own behalf and on behalf of your invited guests and visitors, not to use the Hotel or its Services for any unlawful or illegal purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Committing any criminal offence, including the possession or use of illegal drugs.
  • Using the Hotel's Services in any manner that infringes the legal rights of any individual, company, organisation or other entity under applicable law.
  • Engaging in discriminatory conduct or any other behaviour, whether by you or your invited Guests or Visitors, that may undermine the dignity of any individual within the Hotel, including other Residents, Guests, Visitors or Hotel employees. This includes verbal or non-verbal behaviour of a sexual or racist nature, or behaviour based on disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, marital status, maternity or pregnancy, religion or belief.
  • Engaging in any verbal or non-verbal behaviour that may be considered violent, abusive, harassing or intimidating, including unwanted physical contact with Residents, Guests, Visitors or Hotel employees.
  • Engaging in any overt behaviour that infringes upon the privacy of others, including Residents, Guests, Visitors and Hotel employees.
  • Inviting individuals to the Hotel for the purpose of providing escort services or sexual favours.
  • Impersonating an employee, agent or other representative of the Hotel.
  • Engaging in any activity likely to damage the Hotel's standing, reputation or good name.
  • Falsely claiming to conduct business from the Hotel premises without the Hotel's prior written authorisation.
  • Soliciting goods or services from Residents, Guests, Visitors or Hotel employees without their express consent.
  • Installing recording or surveillance equipment anywhere within the Hotel, in order to protect the privacy of all Residents, Guests and Visitors, or taking photographs or videos intended for public use anywhere on the premises without prior written authorisation.
  • Taking commercial photographs or videos without prior written authorisation, or using the Hotel's intellectual property, including trademarks or trade names, without prior written consent.
  • Bringing animals into the Hotel, with the general exception of small dogs. Please contact the Hotel reception before making your reservation for further information.
  • Bringing your own food or alcoholic beverages into the Hotel's public areas without prior agreement. Where such an agreement has been granted, corkage and service charges may apply.
  • Bringing firearms of any kind onto the Hotel premises, which is strictly prohibited.

10. Handling complaints about the conduct of Residents/Customers/Visitors

Subject to the Hotel's legal obligations, any complaints concerning inappropriate conduct, violence, harassment, intimidation or discriminatory behaviour on your part will be handled as discreetly and confidentially as possible. We will provide you with details of any complaint made against you and give you an opportunity to respond to the allegations concerning your behaviour.

Given the potentially sensitive nature of such complaints for the individuals involved, you agree to cooperate with the Hotel in making every reasonable effort to maintain the confidentiality of the matter.

11. Warnings / Sanctions

If your behaviour is deemed unacceptable by the Hotel, management may choose to issue a verbal warning rather than immediately requesting that you leave the property. Such a warning will require you to cease the inappropriate behaviour and undertake not to repeat it while on Hotel premises. Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave the property. Where the Hotel considers the circumstances to justify such action, we reserve the right to contact the police.

If your behaviour is considered sufficiently serious, or if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you are unable or unwilling to pay for the Hotel's Services, we reserve the right to require you to leave the property immediately. In such circumstances, you must settle all outstanding charges incurred up to the time of your departure. You agree, on your own behalf and on behalf of your invited Guests and Visitors, to compensate the Hotel for any damage or loss resulting from a breach of these Terms and Conditions by you or your invited Guests or Visitors. This includes property damage, losses, liabilities, court-imposed fines or penalties, expenses, costs and other liabilities of any kind incurred by the Hotel or its employees, agents or subcontractors, including damages or other amounts that the Hotel may be ordered to pay by a court of competent jurisdiction, as well as any sums paid under a settlement agreement arising from or relating to such a breach. The Hotel also reserves the right to seek compensation for any damage to its reputation resulting from a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

12. Payment terms and obligations

12.1. Legal Capacity and Authorisation

By making a reservation, you declare that you are at least 18 years of age and legally authorised to accept these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, make the reservation and pay for the Services offered by the Hotel. If you make a reservation on behalf of a company, association or other legal entity, you declare that you are duly authorised to bind that entity in relation to the reservation and the Services ordered.

12.2. Payment Methods and Conditions

When making an online reservation, the Guest must provide a valid payment method and authorises the Hotel to charge the amounts due in accordance with the rate conditions and payment terms applicable to the reservation. The payment methods accepted by the Hotel are those offered at the time of booking or otherwise specified by the Hotel. Cash payments are accepted in euros. Accepted credit and debit cards are those indicated at the time of booking or upon arrival at the Hotel. Personal cheques, gift cards and gift vouchers are not accepted. Charges for Services used during the stay may be added to the room bill and must be settled before departure, unless specific payment arrangements have been agreed in writing between the Guest and the Hotel. The Hotel may carry out a card pre-authorisation to guarantee payment of the amounts due for the stay and any additional Services used.

12.3. Extended Stays

For stays of seven (7) nights or more, the Hotel may require weekly payment of outstanding amounts, in accordance with the terms communicated to the Guest. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoiced amounts must be paid within twenty-four (24) hours of the invoice being issued.

12.4. Third-Party Payers

The Hotel may agree to accept payment of all or part of the Services from a third party, including a company, travel agency, association or individual. Such arrangements must be approved in advance and in writing by the Hotel and may be subject to the provision of any necessary supporting documentation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Hotel, acceptance of a third-party payer does not release the Guest receiving the Services from their payment obligations until all amounts due to the Hotel have been paid in full.

12.5. Late Payment – Business Customers

For business customers, any amount owed to the Hotel that remains unpaid after its due date shall automatically incur late-payment penalties from the day following the payment deadline, without the need for a reminder or prior formal notice. The late-payment interest rate shall be set at three times the applicable statutory interest rate and shall not be lower than the minimum rate prescribed by Article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code. Any business customer who fails to make payment by the due date shall also automatically be liable for a fixed recovery fee of €40. Where the actual debt recovery costs incurred exceed this amount, the Hotel may claim additional compensation upon presentation of the relevant supporting documentation. Late-payment penalties shall be calculated on the outstanding amounts.

12.6. Failure to Pay

In the event of non-payment, the Hotel reserves the right, subject to applicable laws and regulations, to suspend or refuse any further Services or reservations for the Guest concerned until all outstanding amounts have been paid in full.

The Hotel also reserves the right to initiate any necessary debt recovery proceedings to obtain payment of the amounts owed.

13. Third-party services

Where the Hotel arranges Services through a third party, such as restaurant reservations, the contractual terms applicable to those Services shall be binding between you and the relevant third-party provider.

The Hotel makes no warranties of any kind regarding Services provided by third parties, including, without limitation, their quality or suitability for the intended purpose.

14. Complaints and claims for compensation

All complaints and claims for compensation are handled with the utmost care. In the event of loss, property damage or personal injury, please submit your claim as soon as possible after becoming aware of the incident or, if the incident is discovered after leaving the Hotel, within three (3) days of your departure.

Complaints regarding the standard of service or the conduct of Hotel employees or other Residents, Guests or Visitors must be reported to a member of Hotel management before your departure. A member of Hotel management will endeavour to contact you within 48 hours of receiving your complaint. In the event of an alleged theft, unlawful appropriation of property, violence or intimidation involving a Resident, Guest, Visitor or any other individual on Hotel premises, the incident must be reported immediately to a member of Hotel management. An internal investigation will then be conducted, and the police will be notified either at the request of the victim or where the Hotel has reasonable grounds to believe that a criminal offence has been committed.

15. Force majeure

Where the Hotel is unable to fulfil all or part of its obligations, directly or indirectly, due to an event of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to floods, earthquakes, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, fires, interruptions to electricity, gas, water or public utility services, machinery or computer failures, vehicle breakdowns, structural collapse of buildings, interventions by public authorities, pandemics, strikes, labour disputes, accidents or emergency repair works, the Hotel's liability shall be limited to reimbursing any amounts already paid in respect of the obligations it is unable to fulfil.

16. Non-transferable rights

Unless otherwise agreed, your rights to access and use the Hotel's Services, together with all other rights arising under these Terms and Conditions, are personal and non-transferable.

17. Third party rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions or in the agreement is intended to confer any benefits or enforceable rights upon any person other than you, the Hotel and the Website operator, namely Lumen Paris Louvre.

18. Validity of clauses

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is declared invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain valid, binding and in full force and effect.

19. Non-waiver

Any failure or delay by the Hotel to exercise a right under these Terms and Conditions shall not prevent the Hotel from exercising that right at a later date.

20. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by French law, including in relation to disputes and their resolution.

Legal dispute

In the event of a dispute between the professional and the consumer, both parties shall endeavour to reach an amicable settlement.

If no amicable agreement can be reached, the consumer may refer the matter, free of charge, to the consumer mediation service appointed by the professional, namely AVENIR CONSO, within one year of submitting a written complaint to the professional.
